Job summary

Eastern Healthcare Group is hiring for a skilled cook to prepare resident meals according to prescribed diets and dietary guidelines. You will work under the Dietary Director, ensuring quality, safety, and timely service in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include cooking to recipes, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with special events while adhering to facility policies. Prior food service experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must work well in a team and support other staff and residents.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure meals meet recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ability to analyze tasks, manage time, and maintain quality under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resident meals according to menu, quantity, and dietary plans.
• Cook meals using proper methods and temperatures for yield and safety.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment per regulations.
• Ensure trays are complete, accurate, and served on time.
• Assist with special events and as directed by the Administrator.
• Attend in-service programs to meet facility requirements.
