Job summary

Union City Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations for residents. You will prepare meals per planned menus, ensure correct diet trays, and maintain sanitation & safety standards while coordinating with nursing and other departments.

This is an on-site role focused on therapeutic diets and meal production planning. Experience in food service is helpful; pay rates are determined by policy and experience, with benefits eligibility for full-time

Responsibilities

• Ensure menus are maintained and filed per policies.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to meet meal times.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services.
• Develop rapport with inter-department personnel to maintain food service.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diet is served.
• Serve meals with proper portion control.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets per menus.
• Prepare and serve substitute foods when residents refuse options.
• Follow sanitary regulations and established policies at all times.
• Assist in cleaning duties per procedures.
• Maintain storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
