Job summary

Encore Health Services is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with therapeutic diet trays and meal service in a health center setting. The role requires preparing desserts/snacks, serving meals, and maintaining clean, safe dining areas.

The incumbent will transport food and related items, follow diet orders, and participate in training. Strong English communication and empathy for residents are essential in delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Empathy for elderly residents and ability to interact respectfully.
• Ability to plan and organize trays, meals, and service.
• Willingness to participate in training and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center.
• Sets up and breaks down dining areas.
• Transports food, trays, and related items to/from the health center.
• Maintains station equipment and work area in a safe, sanitary condition.
• Maintains personal hygiene and adheres to dress code.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.
