Job summary

Brudnick Center for Living is seeking a part-time Homemaker to manage meals and dining for a household. You will prepare, serve, and cleanup meals while building personal connections with about 16 residents in a home-like setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with transportation to activities and encouraging participation in daily life, with emphasis on independence, dignity, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to follow instructions.
• Prior dietary experience in hospital or long-term care preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Own the dining experience from start to finish by preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for a household.
• Build relationships with residents by knowing their preferences and routines.
• Support residents beyond meals, including transportation to activities.
• Promote choice and quality of life by adapting meals and daily interactions.
• Maintain a safe, organized household and collaborate with the care team.
