Job summary

Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody, MA is seeking a part-time Homemaker to own the dining experience for a household of about 16 residents, preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals in a warm, home-like setting.

Shifts are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 3:00 PM–7:00 PM, rotating every other weekend. The role emphasizes resident choice, safety, and teamwork with the care staff; English fluency is required; prior dietary experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• Collaborative team player with the ability to follow instructions
• Dietary experience in hospital or long-term care setting preferred
• English fluency (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Own dining experience: prepare, serve, and clean up meals for a household of residents.
• Know residents' preferences and routines to create a home-like atmosphere for ~16 residents.
• Support residents beyond meals, including transportation to activities.
• Adapt meals and daily interactions to individual preferences promoting independence and dignity.
• Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation; collaborate with care team to deliver resident-centered care.
