Job summary

REGION VI COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH COMMISSION is hiring for an entry-level evening/night position based in Cleveland, MS. The role involves supervision of residents in group homes, assisting with daily tasks, and ensuring safety and cleanliness within the residence.

The position emphasizes weekend and holiday coverage, with opportunities for professional growth within a regional mental health network. A high school diploma and valid Mississippi driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Verbally prompt and assist members as needed to complete daily cleaning duties, personal hygiene, laundry, etc.
• Observe members daily for any problems (e.g., aggression, auditory or visual hallucinations).
• Assist with planning, cooking and serving of meals.
• Complete weekly physical facilities checklist and monthly fire drills.
• Maintain documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete and timely.
• Monitor the residence for cleanliness and safety at all times.
• Monitor and report need for supplies of residence (cleaning products, food items, housewares, etc.).
