Job summary

Arlington Properties in Lexington, KY is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to prep vacant apartments, handle work orders, and perform basic maintenance to keep properties running smoothly. You will join an active, hands-on team and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

This full-time role requires 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 100 lbs or more. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members.
• Availability for flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prep vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill and urgency.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Pitch in with snow removal, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
• Stay on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
• Work safely and efficiently, valuing your contribution.
