Job summary
Bryten in Lexington, KY is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, comfortable, and well cared-for. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks to prepare homes for new residents.
The role requires experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance; HVAC certification is a plus. On-site work, on-call rotation, and strong customer service are key.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- HVAC certification preferred; additional industry certifications are a plus.
- Experience with property management software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests and work orders promptly and professionally.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting and related systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment, buildings and common areas.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents (make-ready and turn).
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, amenities and equipment for safety and maintenance needs.
- Assist with on-call emergencies and rotate on-call schedule.
- Maintain curb appeal and upkeep of grounds, common areas and amenities.
- Keep accurate records of work orders, inspections, inventory and activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, vendors and team members.
