Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a Resident Maintenance Manager to oversee all occupied maintenance operations within a district, supervise Field Maintenance Technicians and Resident Maintenance, and drive timely, high-quality service.

You will manage the end-to-end maintenance process, use data to guide decisions, monitor KPIs, and ensure maintenance expenses align with the district budget while upholding company standards across owned properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical training preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive operations or multi-unit leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the occupied maintenance team and oversee technicians; ensure KPIs and cost targets are met.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding and training; coach staff to align with policies and standards.
• Manage purchase orders and vendor coordination to optimize costs and service quality.
• Ensure quality control, safety compliance (OSHA) and adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate with Regional Vendor Specialist and District Maintenance Managers to optimize resources.
• Conduct site visits, monitor inventory, and report on operational performance.
