Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator to plan and oversee wellness-based activities for residents, reflecting the Six Dimensions of Wellness. You will supervise engagement staff, coordinate outings, and manage calendars and newsletters to enhance resident life.

The role requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and a chauffeur license within 30 days of hire. A strong commitment to senior care is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Organized, flexible, patient, and professional with a commitment to the elderly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; problem-solving skills.
• Clean driving record; ability to provide proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement resident activities reflecting individual preferences and Six Dimensions of Wellness.
• Complete Life Story/Six Dimensions assessments for new residents.
• Oversee and mentor Resident Engagement staff, including training.
• Plan and supervise resident outings and community events.
• Maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment; manage volunteers.
• Prepare and distribute monthly Resident Engagement calendar and newsletter.
• Manage resident store and life stations for Memory Care residents.
• Maintain records and comply with state volunteer/activity regulations.
• Participate in staff training, in-services, and flexible scheduling.
• Manage department budget and resource allocation.

Education
