Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living seeks a Life Engagement Coordinator to deliver wellness programming for residents and to oversee engagement staff in Bartlett, IL. The role emphasizes social, physical, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and emotional wellness across all levels of care.

You will plan activities, complete assessments, manage calendars and newsletters, supervise volunteers, and ensure compliance with regulations while fostering resident and family engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of experience working with elderly populations.
• Chauffeur license to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement resident activities reflecting individual preferences and Six Dimensions of Wellness.
• Complete Life Story/Six Dimensions assessments for new residents.
• Oversee and mentor Resident Engagement staff, including training.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise resident outings and community events.
• Maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment; manage volunteers.
• Prepare and distribute the monthly Resident Engagement calendar and newsletter.
• Manage resident store and life stations for Memory Care residents.
• Maintain records and comply with state regulations for volunteers and activities.
• Participate in staff training, in-services, and meetings; adapt to scheduling needs.
• Maintain budget for the Resident Engagement department and allocate resources.
