Job summary

University of North Texas seeks an Assistant Residence Hall Director (Live-in position) to support the UNT Housing department in Denton. You will work as a live-in leader, assisting with student development programs, crisis response, and facility monitoring within a 14-hall housing system.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year in residence life or related fields, with the ability to communicate effectively and handle long or irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of residence life, student services, counseling, or related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including emotional stress and interrupted sleep.

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: assist with hall council leadership development and program planning.
• Behavior and Crisis Response: act as administrator of in-hall accountability and follow emergency procedures.
• Supervision of Staff: help supervise student staff and coordinate training/evaluation.
• Administration: assist with work orders, occupancy, and safety inspections.
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday 9am–6pm with some evenings/weekends.
