Job summary

Avamere is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant at Avamere at Sherwood, Oregon. You will assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities for residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings.

Key duties include planning events, leading group activities, documenting participation, coordinating with staff and families, transporting residents, and maintaining safe, welcoming activity spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in activity planning for seniors is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Active CPR/BLS certification during employment.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a diverse range of activities for residents.
• Lead group activities and assist residents individually.
• Maintain activity records and coordinate with staff and families.
• Transport residents to activities and support setup/cleanup.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
