Job summary

Avamere at Sherwood seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in planning and implementing activities for residents across independent living, assisted living and memory care.

You will create activity calendars, lead group sessions, and assist with transporting residents while maintaining safety and quality of life. Collaboration with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute or related clinical settings.
• Active Driver’s License and ability to transport residents as needed.
• CPR/BLS certification maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing activities: games, exercise, arts, music and social events.
• Plan schedules/calendars with diverse activities for varied interests and abilities.
• Lead group activities and engage residents, with one-on-one interactions as needed.
• Maintain records of participation and coordinate with staff and families.

Skills

Geriatric care experience

Driver’s license
