Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in planning, organizing, and implementing activities for residents in an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community located in Sherwood, OR. The role involves planning diverse activities, engaging residents, maintaining records, and coordinating with staff.

candidates should have experience in geriatric settings, EMR usage, and possess a valid

Qualifications

Prefer experience in long-term care or geriatric settings.
Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
Active, unencumbered driver's license.
Volunteer work or activities work with geriatric population.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience and creative approach with elders.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing activities including games, exercise, arts and crafts, music sessions and social events.
Create activity schedules and calendars with a variety of options.
Prepare activity areas, gather supplies, and ensure a safe/enjoyable environment.
Lead group activities and engage residents in one-on-one interactions.
Observe residents' responses and report changes to staff.
Transport residents to/from activities and assist with setup/cleanup.
Attend staff meetings and adhere to safety protocols.
