Job summary

Galerie-Living-1 is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to work with the Life Enrichment Director to provide engaging activities for residents inside and outside the community. You will promote resident well-being through recreational programming, coordinate with other departments, and help with transportation and volunteer partnerships to support enriching experiences for all residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• One year of related experience in senior living preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and compassion for residents, associates, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of daily activities within community guidelines to promote resident well-being.
• Facilitate group social activities, outdoor activities, spiritual programs, arts and crafts, exercise, music and drama, and educational opportunities.
• Take photos and submit to Marketing after activities.
• Support networking actions for retaining volunteers and maintaining relationships with local businesses, organizations and schools.
• Monitor resident activity and psychosocial status; report changes to the Life Enrichment Director.
• Coordinate transportation to local facilities and assist with driving the community bus and other vehicles.
• Attend required staff meetings and complete annual trainings.
• May be required to consent for MVR checks; report driving infractions promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized activity areas; demonstrate quality service standards.
• Act as a team member contributing to achieving department goals.
