Job summary

Ridgeway Senior Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and run a creative activities program for residents. You will support an Activity Director, coordinate transportation, and contribute to monthly calendars and assessments, ensuring activities meet residents' needs.

The role emphasizes communication with staff, residents, and families, along with maintaining records and supporting discharge planning as needed. Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between staff, residents, families and public.
• Assist in development of monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans.
• Arrange transportation for residents for outings or appointments.
• Develop and maintain monthly activity schedule including outings and in-room activities.
• Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts and reading.
• Assist with assessment documentation and progress notes.
• Keep Activity Department clean, orderly and secured.
