Job summary

The Residence at Carlisle is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to join our compassionate team. The role supports residents through engaging activities, group transportation, and personalized interactions to enhance quality of life.

Schedule is 9:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday with every other week rotation; the ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and enjoys working in a team to create a warm, inclusive community.

Qualifications

• Experience in recreational therapy or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to senior care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and stay organized.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate social and recreational activities that meet residents' mental, physical, spiritual and social needs while keeping them actively engaged in the community.
• Create an inviting and inclusive environment where all residents feel safe and welcome to participate.
• Engage residents in daily activities aligned with their interests and abilities.
• Monitor resident wellness and collaborate with the team on holistic care plans.
• Transport residents to appointments, outings, and events using the community bus.
• Assist in maintaining and operating the Residence Store.
• Deliver compassionate service mindful of mobility, memory, or sensory needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families with ethics and integrity.
