Job summary

New Haven Assisted Living of Kerrville is seeking a Life Engagement Director to lead activities across social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, physical and dignified personal care. This role reports to the Executive Director and maintains regular contact with residents through individual and group activities.

The position is full-time and may require weekends, holidays, and evenings. You will oversee the engagement team and collaborate with staff to support resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate.
• Current and valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Establish a functional recreation program with a therapeutic approach.
• Provide activities addressing social, emotional, spiritual, physical and intellectual needs.
• Lead and carry out the objectives of the engagement program.
• Recruit, train, supervise and assist volunteers.
• Coordinate with outside groups to arrange programs for residents.
• Create and update the monthly activity calendar.
• Attend trainings and participate in monthly staff meetings.
