Job summary

Rydal Park - a HumanGood community in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking an Activity Coordinator to join its dynamic team. You will plan, implement and monitor wellness and recreation programs for residents, promoting engagement and quality of life.

Strong candidates have an associate degree in recreation/health education and 1–2 years in geriatric programming; CTRS preferred. Join us for meaningful impact and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with emphasis in recreation or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in geriatric setting.
• Two or more years of direct programming with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor wellness and recreation programs to meet residents' needs.
• Provide programs and events that encourage engagement and socialization to support quality of life.
• Ensure life enrichment programs meet local, state and federal regulations.
• Plan and participate in activity programs (entertainment, cooking, education, arts, games, outings).
• Guide and coordinate work of Activity Assistants and volunteers, including recruitment and training.
• Plan monthly activities calendar and coordinate in-room programs for bedfast residents.

Education

Associate's degree with emphasis in recreation, health education or related field; and college course work in social work, gerontology, psychology, recreation therapy or related field
