Job summary

Pacific Coast Post Acute in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an energetic and compassionate Activity Director (Part-Time) to plan, coordinate, and oversee resident-centered activities that promote physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. You will ensure regulatory compliance and enhance residents' quality of life through meaningful, individualized programming.

The role requires an Activity Director Certification and a high school diploma, with prior experience in long-term care settings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Activity Director Certification required.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, assisted living community, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Experience planning recreational, social, or therapeutic activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive activity program tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars, including group activities, events, outings, and in-room programs.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and recreational opportunities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans and activity assessments.
• Maintain accurate activity documentation, progress notes, and participation records.
• Foster positive communication with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community organizations.
• Assist with transportation arrangements for outings and activities when necessary.
• Stay current with regulations governing long-term care activity programs.
