Job summary

Good Samaritan in Bottineau, ND is seeking an Activities Supervisor for Long Term Care. The role creates and leads resident activities, manages staff schedules and volunteers, and aligns activity plans with care plans and MDS requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, administering the monthly calendar, and ensuring engaging, meaningful activities while maintaining dignity and autonomy for residents. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Two years experience in this field preferred.
• Knowledge of working with diverse resident demographics.
• Experience in social services or creative activities.
• Minimum of one year leadership/management experience preferred.
• Current CNA certification or enrollment in healthcare program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and implements resident activities and events.
• Manages activity staff schedules and coordinates volunteers.
• Creates resident care plans around activities and views MDS questions.
• Reports problems to leadership in a timely manner.
• Communicates department activities to employees.
• Administers the monthly activity calendar.
• Engages residents in planning with input and transport support.
