Job summary

PACS Group is seeking an Activity Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Activity Department in a long-term care facility. The role ensures ongoing programs meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each resident in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards.

The position involves coordinating schedules, community planning, surveys, and action plans to improve quality of life for residents. Requires a high school diploma and certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the resident-centered activities for the facility.
• Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards.
• Provide clear communication between staff, residents, families, and the public to meet residents' needs.
• Participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident needs.
• Assist in discharge planning and development of activity care plans.
