Job summary

The SR Companies in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a dedicated care professional to support residents through engaging activities, events and daily living assistance. You will coordinate calendars, transport residents to appointments and ensure safety and compassionate communication at all times.

You will also assist in training staff, maintaining a clean environment, and supporting residents with dining and daily tasks while adhering to HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and adheres to a monthly activity calendar.
• Speaks to and interacts with residents at all levels of care with empathy, kindness and respect.
• Coordinates events for residents, families, staff and assists community relations as needed.
• Transports and supervises residents on outings and doctor visits.
• Screens, recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment for residents.
• Provide training and guidance to staff to meet performance standards.
• Facilitate resident council meetings and take minutes.
• Follow up on concerns discussed at resident council meetings.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and emotional condition.
• Set and manage priorities and respond to resident requests promptly.
• Communicate in a language residents understand.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Follow emergency procedures and be essential personnel during emergencies.
• Work as a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Attend trainings and mandatory meetings.
• Assist residents in dining rooms and Activities of Daily Living.
