Job summary

The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ seeks a Full-Time Program Coordinator to develop and manage comprehensive activities for residents in assisted living and skilled nursing areas. You will organize group, individual, and independent activities to meet social, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs.

Qualifications include an associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred), at least one year in therapeutic recreation or senior activities, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in therapeutic recreation or senior activities; dementia experience preferred.
• Dance/movement experience with geriatric population strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recreational programs for residents in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing neighborhoods.
• Coordinate with the Recreation team on programming and create activity ideas.
• Prepare Activities Calendars and maintain documentation.
• Attend resident care plan meetings and work with volunteers/community organizations.
