Job summary

SNF Healthcare in Edison, NJ seeks an Activities Director to develop and implement recreational services that enhance residents' quality of life. The role reports to the Administrator as part of the leadership team.

You will design multi-faceted activities, provide in-room programming, coordinate outings, and train staff to deliver compassionate, engaging programs for diverse residents. The position requires creativity, dedication to elderly care, and strong organizational skills to maintain

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation preferred or completion of NAAP/NCCAP Basic and Advanced Management Course for Activity Professionals
Certification according to regulatory agencies (ADC/CTRS)
Two years' experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, health care setting preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and implement recreational activities to improve residents' quality of life.
Provide in-room activities for residents who are confined to rooms.
Escort residents to activities and accompany outings.
Travel with residents on outings and events.
Train and supervise activities staff.
Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
Coordinate Resident Council and calendars reflecting residents' rights and interests.
Post monthly activity calendars considering cultural and religious diversity.
