Opportunity Home in San Antonio is seeking a Resident Leadership Coordinator to collaborate with department leadership, residents, and stakeholders to design and implement an engagement model that strengthens Resident Councils across public housing communities.

The role maintains a council database, organizes meetings, drafts policies, and supports training with a focus on compliance and inclusive, data-driven program delivery.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, sociology, social work or related field.
• Four years experience in federal/affordable housing programs or related area is preferred.
• Successful completion of background checks and verifications as required.

Mansioni

• Maintains expert knowledge of federal regulations regarding resident councils in public housing.
• Builds capacity of residents to organize and operate councils through education and support.
• Facilitates partnerships with community organizations and Opportunity Home staff.
• Provides guidance for elections, feedback collection, meetings, MOUs, bylaws, and budgets.
• Develops and delivers leadership training to resident council leaders.
