Avesta Housing in Wells, ME, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep apartments and common areas safe and well‑maintained. You will handle routine, emergency, and preventative repairs, maintain grounds, and work with property management to meet safety and comfort standards.

The role is full-time and on-site in the Southern region, requiring independence, reliable problem-solving, and strong communication with residents in occupied apartments.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and independent in a mission-based environment.
• Knowledge of general apartment and building repairs including basic plumbing, basic electrical, painting and light carpentry.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Detail-oriented with ability to independently complete work orders and log records via company apps on a company issued cellular phone.
• Good communication and strong customer service in occupied apartments.
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Reliable vehicle for daily transportation; mileage reimbursement provided.
