Avesta Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the physical operations of our properties in Portland, ME. The role performs routine, emergency, and preventative repairs, maintains buildings and grounds, and collaborates with property management to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

We seek a reliable, independent individual with basic plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, independent, and willing to learn in a mission-based environment.
• Able to perform routine apartment and building repairs including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and light carpentry.
• Mechanical aptitude and detail orientation for completing work orders and recording completions via company app.
• Good communication and customer service skills for work in occupied apartments.
• Must have reliable vehicle; on-call schedule and mileage reimbursement required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Repair buildings and grounds, basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Maintain digital work orders and records on company phone.
• Coordinate with property management to meet Avesta’s safety and comfort standards.
