Avesta Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the physical operations of our properties and support our communities in Gorham, ME. This hands-on role involves routine, emergency, and preventative repairs.

You will work closely with property management to keep homes safe and comfortable, handle resident requests, and maintain grounds. A reliable vehicle and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Reliable and independent; willingness to learn in a mission-based environment.
• Knowledge of general apartment/building repairs including basic plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and light carpentry.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Detail oriented; able to complete assigned work orders and maintain digital records via company-issued phone.
• Good communications and customer service skills, including work in occupied apartments.
• Experience with technology and work-related applications on a company device.
• Availability to work a shared rotating on-call schedule.
• Reliable vehicle for daily transportation; mileage reimbursement provided.
