Job summary

CommonPlace is hiring a Maintenance Technician to prepare apartment homes for new residents and handle routine and preventive maintenance across our communities. You will respond to service requests, oversee vendor work for quality, and help keep kitchens, baths, and common areas in excellent condition.

The role requires HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, OSHA awareness, and a practical, safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Apartment maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate safely.
• Comfortable using power tools and manual tools.
• Self-motivated with a resident-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartment homes for new residents with high-quality make-readies.
• Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain appearance and function of apartments, amenities, grounds, and buildings.
• Oversee vendor work to ensure quality and timeliness.
• On-call rotation and after-hours emergency response.
• Report unusual or urgent issues to the Property Manager.
