Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation in line with HCSG standards, while maintaining a clean kitchen and adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience, ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions, and good communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Strong communication with residents, staff, and leadership.
• COVID-20 vaccination policies compliance.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods.
• May complete sanitation and safety course as required.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification per state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
