Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen while interacting positively with residents and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in food preparation. Certification such as ServSafe may be required by state law; flexibility with duties is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in cook/food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods; may require a sanitation course.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
