Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) seeks a cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help ensure food quality, taste, and presentation while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Interaction with residents and staff is key to delivering excellent service. Responsibilities include following menus, assisting with inventory, and maintaining a clean kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and clear communication with residents and staff.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
