Bickford Senior Living in Urbandale, IA seeks a Cook to support the Kitchen Manager and prepare meals for residents in a restaurant-style dining experience called the Bread Basket.

The role includes following menus, serving meals at proper temperatures, maintaining cleanliness, and coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth mealtime service in a caring, community-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at the correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
• Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans following Bickford’s dishwashing procedure.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
• Maintain food service records as required by regulations and policies.
• Store food per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Complete tasks from the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Keep kitchen and dining room clean to meet regulatory requirements.
• Ensure Bistro/Beverage Bar is stocked with refreshments.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager for tours and events.
