Job summary

The Country Home Memory Care in Morris Plains, NJ is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in accordance with dietary guidelines. You will work with the dietary team to meet nutritional needs and ensure meals are prepared on time with great presentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of healthcare/food service cooking experience, and the ability to follow recipes and manage portions while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal culinary training or certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of cooking experience in healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or food service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Follow dietary requirements, ensure safe handling, and maintain food presentation.
• Assist with inventory, planning menus, and maintaining a clean kitchen.
• Collaborate with dietary team to meet resident needs and preferences.
• Interact professionally with residents and patients, addressing requests.
