Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is hiring an Maintenance Technician to handle service requests within our community.

You will focus on customer service, perform make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative maintenance, and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure a high-quality living environment. The role requires a technical mindset, ability to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing and HVAC tasks, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills related to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and make-ready responsibilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license for certain communities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or correct them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete necessary repairs.
• Maintain community appearance and perform general repairs as needed.
• Accurately document service requests and maintenance in systems.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping and notices as needed.
