Job summary

Birchstone Residential is hiring an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in daily operations and to help ensure resident satisfaction. You will manage rent collections, postings, deposits, and maintain accurate records while upholding Birchstone values.

The role requires strong leadership and service orientation, with emphasis on leasing, renewals, and team collaboration. You will assist with leasing activities, show units, verify applications, and help train staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years in multi-family or Class A/B communities preferred.
• Two or more years in residential leasing and/or sales preferred.
• One or more years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager in all aspects of property operations to ensure Birchstone standards and resident satisfaction.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all current, future, and previous residents and build relationships.
• Assist the Property Manager in leasing oversight and service team supervision.
• Support Leasing Specialists and verify resident applications; assist in showing units and the property.
• Lead rent collection efforts; post rental collections and oversee accounting functions for the property.
• Assist with evictions and utility cut-offs as needed.
• Oversee renewal notices; review lease renewals and addendums.
• Maintain resident lease files and computer records.
• Inspect units after move-outs; ensure units are show-ready and in good condition.
• Ensure permits are current and compliant; manage administrative forms and reports.
• Train team members on resident service and leasing best practices.
• Walk the grounds frequently to ensure Birchstone standards and efficiency.
