Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support on-site property operations and resident relations at our Augusta properties. You will assist with leasing activity, renewals, collections, financial reporting, and resident communications while delivering outstanding customer service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property management, solid bookkeeping skills, and proficiency with Yardi or Rent Café.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in property management; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in basic accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and property management software (Yardi, Rent Café).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local fair housing laws.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional assistance to current and prospective residents via phone, email, and in person.
• Support leasing efforts; verify applications and ensure Fair Housing compliance.
• Assist with staff training and model effective sales techniques.
• Lead rent collection, manage delinquencies, and initiate lease terminations or legal action when necessary.
• Contribute to budget management and maintain resident records and accounting functions.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and oversee QA of apartments and common areas.
• Act as the Property Manager in their absence and adapt to evolving needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
