Job summary

The Commons in Highland Park, IL seeks a part-time, on-site Resident Services & Operations Coordinator to warmly greet residents and guests, assist with day-to-day needs, and connect people with staff, services, and community resources. This is a hands-on role at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming, organized environment.

Reporting to the Resident Experience Manager, you will help with calendars, sign-ins, and communication, coordinating with staff and partners to keep daily operations running

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Services, Social Work, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience with adults with disabilities or in community/hospitality settings.
• Experience with diverse abilities and communication needs.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Warm, patient, and friendly demeanor; comfortable frontline presence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confidentiality maintained.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Resident Support: greet residents, families, visitors, and partners and assist with day-to-day needs.
• Communication & Community: build relationships, share information professionally, and support community life.
• Building & Daily Operations: manage calls, messages, schedules, notices, and general inquiries.
• Team & Family Collaboration: work with staff to support residents and events.
