Job summary

Vitality Living in Georgia seeks an Engagement Coordinator to plan, implement and promote activities that enrich the lives of residents, including those with Alzheimer’s disease. You will organize monthly calendars, coordinate community outings and work with Memory Care and Engagement Directors to tailor programs to each resident’s interests.

Must have 1–2 years’ experience with dementia, strong communication, computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience working with individuals who have Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia.
• Ability to facilitate dignified, purposeful, and individualized programming.
• Strong communication with residents, families and team members.
• Proficient computer skills and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and promote activities to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Facilitate community involvement through volunteerism.
• Safely transport residents using a community bus or other vehicle as scheduled.
• Develop monthly engagement calendars with Memory Care Director or Engagement Director.
• Coordinate outings, special events, and partnerships with the greater community.
• Maintain resident life journals and report observations to the team.
