Job summary

ATANE is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to support NJDOT/NJTA projects across New Jersey. The role oversees construction activities on highway, bridge, and infrastructure programs.

You will lead inspection teams, ensure conformance with plans and permits, and coordinate with agency personnel and contractors. A PE license is preferred; bachelor's degree required.

  • Review contractor schedules, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and payment estimates.
  • Monitor quality assurance, materials testing, project documentation, and contract compliance.
  • Prepare and review daily reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and Maintenance & PTP of Traffic (MPT).

Job Description

ATANE is actively seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to support transportation construction projects throughout New Jersey. The successful candidate will oversee construction activities on major highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA).

Responsibilities
