Job summary

ATANE is seeking an experienced Office Engineer to support transportation construction projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) throughout New Jersey.

The Office Engineer will play a key role in project administration by coordinating documentation, contract records, correspondence, and construction reporting while working closely with Resident Engineers, inspection staff, contractors, and agency personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Strong organization and communication abilities essential.
• Experience with electronic project documentation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize project records and documentation.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material certifications.
• Process daily reports, meeting minutes, and payment estimates.
• Track schedules, change orders, quantities, and contract mods.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, inspectors, contractors, and agency staff.
• Ensure compliance with NJDOT and NJTA documentation requirements.
