Job summary

French & Parrello Associates is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our Newark, NJ or Camden, NJ Construction Engineering team. You will oversee field inspection on heavy highway projects, review submittals, and coordinate with Project Managers and field staff to ensure contract compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey PE license (or NICET III/IV), a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and at least eight years of inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited civil engineering program.
• Experience performing construction inspection on NJ agency projects.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Resident Engineer on New Jersey Agency projects and perform on-site inspection for heavy highway projects.
• Review cost estimates and project submittals.
• Oversee field inspection staff and coordinate with Project Managers.
• Travel to project sites as required and ensure daily operations meet contract documents.
