Cad Engineering Resources Inc is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead on-site resolution of technical issues with GM development teams in Warren and Milford, Michigan. The role focuses on supporting parts release, validation, and cybersecurity considerations for fascia/interior systems.

The position involves coordinating with OEM partners, managing change in parts release databases, and assisting with testing at proving grounds and supplier sites.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.

• Understanding of RF, BLE, UWB, vehicle communication systems and Cyber Security.
• Familiarity with diagnostic data software, programming tools, Vector Canoe/Vehicle Spy or other connectivity tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead proactive resolution of technical issues raised by our customers’ development teams and GM cross-functional teams.
• Support the development and release of assigned parts into GM system under direction from GM Design Release Engineer and GM Program Teams.
• Communicate with OEM partner to ensure supplier component validation meets fascia/interior requirements.
• Support change management in the parts release databases.
• Support product development, testing and validation at Proving Grounds, pre-production locations, design benches, and other suppliers.
• Upload software updates for tracking and bench systems and collect vehicle component logs.

Long-term contract role - initially one year with potential extension up to three years

Salary Range: $95-$105k year

As the onsite representative, you will be responsible for leading proactive resolution of technical issues raised by our customers development teams and GM cross-functional team members. Actively support the development and release of assigned parts into GM system in conjunction with direction from GM Design Release Engineer and GM Program Teams including Cyber Security and GM directed fascia/interior suppliers.

Daily Responsibilities Of The Resident Engineer

• Work with OEM partner to communicate and ensure supplier component validation is meeting both technical and fascia/interior requirements
• Support change management functions in the parts release databases
• Support product development, testing and validation at Proving Grounds, pre-production locations, design benches, and other suppliers
• Flexibly provide support to supplier residents
• Support and upload software updates for multiple tracking and bench systems
• Collect vehicle component logs, be proficient to interpret and diagnose log files

Qualifications Of The Resident Engineer

• Bachelor degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent by combination of education and minimum two years of automotive experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Great organization and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of RF, BLE, UWB, vehicle communication systems and Cyber Security
• Familiarity diagnostic data software, programming tools, Vector Canoe/Vehicle Spy or other connectivity tools
