Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator to lead resident engagement, volunteer services, concierge operations and customer experience programs—creating connection, purpose, and well-being for residents and families.

You will plan and evaluate programs, supervise staff and volunteers, recruit and train volunteers, track engagement metrics, and collaborate with Sales and Resident Care on move-ins, while ensuring safety and Sunrise quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience in senior living, hospitality, recreation, or volunteer management.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and event-planning skills.
• Experience with volunteer/engagement technology and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate resident-centered engagement programs and events.
• Oversee activities, entertainment, and wellness programming across all neighborhoods, including memory care.
• Supervise team members, volunteers, and concierge staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain volunteers; build community partnerships.
• Track participation, satisfaction, and engagement metrics to improve programming.
• Lead concierge operations, delivering exceptional experiences for residents, families, and visitors.
• Support budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.
• Partner with Sales and Resident Care on move-ins and ongoing engagement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and Sunrise quality standards.
