Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator to lead resident engagement and volunteer services across our communities. You will organize events, oversee activities and wellness programs, and supervise staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional experiences for residents and families.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, tracking engagement metrics, and collaborating with Sales and Resident Care on move-ins.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience in senior living, hospitality, recreation, or volunteer management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and event-planning skills.
• Experience with volunteer/engagement technology and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate resident-centered engagement programs and events.
• Oversee activities, entertainment, and wellness programming across neighborhoods, including memory care.
• Supervise team members, volunteers, and concierge staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain volunteers; build community partnerships.
• Track participation, satisfaction, and engagement metrics to improve programming.
• Lead concierge operations, delivering exceptional experiences for residents, families, and visitors.
• Support budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.
• Partner with Sales and Resident Care on move-ins and ongoing engagement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and Sunrise quality standards.
