Job summary

NHS Management, LLC in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Certified Activities Supervisor to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s activity programs, ensuring residents' emotional, recreational, spiritual, and social needs are met with dignity.

You will coordinate programs with residents, families, staff and volunteers, maintain the volunteer program, and contribute to care planning in partnership with the Facility Administrator.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Activities Supervisor is preferred.
• Long-term care experience is preferred.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when working with elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate resident activity programs.
• Coordinate activity programs with residents, families, staff, volunteers and community agencies.
• Develop and coordinate the facility’s volunteer program.
• Identify and monitor residents’ spiritual, social, recreational and emotional needs.
• Complete activity sections of Resident Assessment Instrument and care plans on time.
• Participate in resident care plan meetings and maintain programs aligned to residents’ interests and needs.
