Job summary

Genesis is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of patients and residents by planning, organizing and implementing engaging recreation activities that meet physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will provide input into monthly recreation therapy services, document attendance, and attend care plan meetings. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients/residents to meet physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
