The Resident Director is a live-in master's degree-level professional who is responsible for the operation of one or more residence halls, housing between 250 and 630 students. The Resident Director is charged with shaping the environment and experiences of residential students by providing oversight, supervision and programs focused on the Office of Residence Life's mission and values. This position reports to an Area Coordinator or an Assistant Director.
A fully furnished, in-hall apartment (partners and small pets welcome), declining debit meal plan of $4,500, professional development funds, and a starting salary of $45,000. The starting date is July 13, 2026.

Miami University's Office of Residence Life employs 33 professional staff (full-time and graduate assistants) and 250 resident assistants who work to establish an educational living and learning environment for approximately 8,000 students residing in 40 residence halls and apartments each of which houses between 80 and 430 students.
